Carrathool Shire’s Youth Services caters for young people aged between 12 and 25.

Within Carrathool Shire there are various services made available for our youth:
Join us from the 26 September 2023 to see our youth murals come to life. The final designs inspired by feedback from our design workshops will be provided to Council at the September meeting for approval.
Luke Vineburg an artist from Wagga Wagga has been engaged to complete the project.
Starting in Rankins Springs the murals will be painted over the course of 3 days, you are welcome to come down and see the painting of the murals and enjoy a free BBQ lunch.
This project is funded by the NSW Government’s Children and Young People Wellbeing Recovery Initiative.

Like many regional areas, our towns thrive with community and sporting groups which are an awesome opportunity for our young people to come and work together for the good of the community.
NSW Youth Week (NYW) is an annual event and is the largest celebration of young people aged 12-25 in Australia. Thousands of people get involved in NYW every year and we love celebrating with the young people in our shire.
Previous Council Youth Week events include: Selfie Photo Competition, Photography Workshop, Trivia and Pizza Afternoon, Cinema and Bowling Trip, Colour Run and more.
Shire youth are welcome to make suggestions or help plan Council’s Youth Week activities, contact the Economic Development Department for more information.
