Within Carrathool Shire there are various services made available for our youth:
Our Youth Mural Project is now completed with 3 new murals in Hillston, Goolgowi and Rankins Springs. Painted by Luke Vineburg an artist from Wagga Wagga the project was funded by the NSW Government’s Children and Young People Wellbeing Recovery Initiative.
Like many regional areas, our towns thrive with community and sporting groups which are an awesome opportunity for our young people to come and work together for the good of the community.
NSW Youth Week (NYW) is an annual event and is the largest celebration of young people aged 12-25 in Australia. Thousands of people get involved in NYW every year and we love celebrating with the young people in our shire.
Previous Council Youth Week events include: Selfie Photo Competition, Photography Workshop, Trivia and Pizza Afternoon, Cinema and Bowling Trip, Colour Run and more.
Shire youth are welcome to make suggestions or help plan Council’s Youth Week activities, contact the Community Development Department for more information.
