Under the Local Government Act 1993, Council elections are held on the second Saturday in September every 4 years.
By-elections are conducted periodically when a Councillor vacancy occurs. Council elections are conducted by the
NSW Electoral Commission, or a Council may engage another entity to conduct the election on their behalf.
After an interruption due to the COVID epidemic the Local Government Elections are back on track and were held
14 September 2024.
